April 11th, 1941…
The failure of the Italians to suppress the
Greeks forced Hitler to set loose his dogs, the Leibstandarte Adolf Hitler.
Pouring through the Greek mountainside like floodwaters, the SS drove the mixed
group of Greeks and BEF across the frontier. In a desperate act, General Wilson
ordered a detachment to sacrifice themselves in a rear guard fight. Setting up
defensive positions in the neck of 3,000 foot peeks bordered by rocky cliffs,
the Allies waited for the brazen SS…and then wrote their families one last
July 30th, 1943…
Disregarding the last bell of the last round, the
two bitter rivals squared off and traded blows in a blind rage. Weeks after the
great battle of Kursk had been called off the SS "Totenkopf" continued
to punch at the 4th Guards Mechanized Rifle Division with their last remaining
Tigers. Driving past the smoldering hulks of the 23rd Panzer Division the Tigers
and a platoon of Engineers approached the knoll of Hill 213.9. With sweat
pouring off their brows, the dug in Russian gunners lay silently and patiently
among the vast wheat fields with breaches loaded and barrels trained on the
steel monsters. They waited until the very last moment…
February 15th, 1945…
Since Normandy the American tankers had been
getting a bloody nose by the heavy German panzers. But now a new tank had driven
off of the great assembly lines in the States: General "Black Jack"
Pershing was back in service with the U.S. Army. With thoughts of burning
Shermans in their heads, a lawless group of American tankers hijacked a
Gyrostabilizer from the supply depots and installed it in their new tank. Armed
to the teeth with APCR the bitter Americans set upon a group of Panthers known
to be lurking in a nearby village….
vengeance would come swiftly!
…or would it?
